“I was born in Ontario, OR, where I lived for 14 years before moving to Boise, making it my home! I am the baby of a blended family of two sisters and two brothers. I’ve been married to my best friend since 2019 and enjoy going on outdoor adventures together. I have a spunky dapple dachshund named Tootsie and a loving cat named Sullivan”

What’s the best part of your job?
“I love helping people achieve the smile they’ve always wanted and to help ease dental anxiety.”
What aspect of your personality adds the most value to the office?
“I am always looking at life with a positive light and attitude. The energy we emit is the energy we receive. Every day is a new day to rewrite your story, so wake up with the mindset that something beautiful will happen today!”
What do you do outside of the office? “What do you do outside of the office?
“I enjoy anything outdoors, from fly fishing, golfing, day hikes, hot springing, to rodeos in the summer. Family is extremely important to me, and if I’m not outdoors, you can catch me spending quality time with my family.”
What’s an interesting fact about yourself?
“I’m a believer of crystal healing and enjoy practicing Reiki healing in my spare time.”

Allison Hunter
Bio: I am originally from Huntington Beach, CA, and have worked in the dental field since 2004 starting as a RDA, then a Surgical Tech, and now in the front office. I am the proud wife to my amazing husband, Kevin, mother of two incredible sons, Ryan and Blaine, and dog-mom to our sweet-as-can-be rescues, Miikka and Tail. My family and I lived in San Antonio, TX for the last five years where my husband was able to retire from the Air Force after 24 years of service. We recently relocated to the Treasure Valley in the Summer of 2023 and have loved every part of our newest adventure.
Why did you choose dentistry?: The reason I chose dentistry was because I was so fortunate to have an amazing pedodontist teach me the importance of oral hygiene and taking care of my smile at a young age. Every time I came in the office, I was greeted with warmth and laughter. It didn’t hurt I always came home with a toy too. Having that as the foundation of my experiences, going to school for my RDA was an easy choice.
What’s an interesting fact about yourself?: An interesting fact about me is I love to travel. Whether it’s within the states or overseas, my family and I are always planning our next vacation. I am also an avid reader. Any free time I get is usually spent with my nose in a book. Lastly, I am a huge MLB fan and hope to one day visit every major league ballpark. Go Angels!!

on to Carrington College where I received my Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene.”

Why did you choose dentistry?
“I chose dentistry because I love connecting with patients and building
genuine connections. I always loved going to the dentist growing up and wanted to bring that same experience to my patients. Being able to help my patients feel confident about their smile is so rewarding for me!”
What’s an interesting fact about yourself?
“I have a black belt in taekwondo!”

“I was born in Lynden, WA where I lived for 19 years before moving to tri cities to go to school for dental assisting. I worked as an assistant for 3 years before deciding to pursue hygiene. I moved to Boise almost 5 years ago and enjoy the sunshine very much. I have been in dentistry for over 8 years now and love every bit of it. My favorite activities include hiking, floating the river, paddle boarding, reading and painting. Summer is my favorite season. I have a golden retriever/ husky mix pup who I spend most of my time with.”

“I chose dentistry because I love helping and educating. My patient’s oral hygiene is important to me. Oral health is part of your overall health.”

“Hi there! I’m a dedicated wife celebrating 20 wonderful years with my husband. We’ve been blessed with four amazing children, two boys, and two girls, and I’m thrilled to be a proud grandma to two adorable boys. With 20 years in the dental field and 15 years as a dental hygienist, I’m passionate about oral health and helping others smile bright. When I’m not working, you’ll often find me exploring the world with my husband, particularly enjoying overseas adventures. Skiing is another passion of mine, and I love hitting the slopes whenever I get the chance. Born and raised in beautiful Boise, Idaho, I’m grateful for the roots that keep me grounded in my hometown.”
Why did you choose dentistry?
” I chose dentistry because I believe in the beauty of happiness and wanted to contribute to it by helping people achieve radiant smiles. My passion for dental hygiene started at age 14, guiding me towards a career where I could make a meaningful impact on people’s oral health and well-being. “
What is an interesting fact about yourself?
” An interesting fact about me is that I have a deep passion for history. I love immersing myself in documentaries, exploring heritage homes, and visiting fascinating historical sites. For me, history is like a captivating story full of remarkable people and events that shape our present and future. “

DENTAL ASSISTANT
“Sarah has been in the dental field for over 20 years. She got her Dental Assisting Certificate in 1998 from Apollo College in Portland, Oregon. Then she moved to Boise where she did her externship. Sarah is from Eastern Oregon but had been in Idaho for 22 years and raised her 2 kids here. In her spare time she likes to go to her kids activities, take walks with her dog and stay at home.”

“Dentistry chose me! “

Dental Assistant
“I was born in Portland, OR. When I was six years old, my entire family moved to Fruitland, ID. My parents love moving around, so we lived in Fruitland, Meridian, Star, and Nampa. Then there was the time that we made a cross-country trip to Minneapolis, MN and lived there for a year. I grew up in a Russian-speaking household; my parents immigrated from Russia in the ‘80s. I speak English, Russian, and a little Ukrainian. I have three siblings; one sister and two younger brothers.”

Why did you choose dentistry?
“Two of my aunts are dental hygienists, and they both told me they could see me doing well in the dental field. I’ve always loved teeth and the idea of working in a dental office. I went to school at Milan Institute and instantly knew that this was the right path for me. I worked at a pediatric office straight out of school and then, after a few years, moved on to a general practice. I love having the opportunity of learning something new every day and continuing my education through dental courses.”
What’s the best part of your job?
“I love working with families, from kids to adults to grandparents. The transformations in people’s lives, just from the effect of a straight smile or the effect of a healthy mouth for the first time in someone’s life. The joy is inspiring.”
What aspect of your personality adds the most value to the office?
“I have an outgoing, bubbly personality that works well with others. I enjoy taking on new tasks and staying organized. I love helping people and being there when our patients need me most. “
What do you do outside the office?
“I got married to my best friend in July 2020, and it’s been the best life decision I’ve ever made! My husband and I enjoy anything outdoors. In the summertime, we enjoy going to the lake, taking hikes in our beautiful mountains, and playing a lot of volleyball with our friends. In the winter, we like to go skiing and snowboarding and then soak in one of the many wild hot springs Idaho has.”
What’s one item on your bucket list?
“Going to Europe for a backpacking trip with my husband.”

Why did I choose dentistry?
I chose dentistry because it offers a unique combination of hands-on work, problem-solving, and the opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives. I’ve always had an interest in health and helping others, and dentistry allows me to do both.
What is an interesting fact about you?
An interesting fact about me is that I played soccer in college. I love to ski and hangout with my friends and family. I come from a big family with three siblings and two adorable nieces and nephews, who keep me busy and entertained!
